Interface converters, an adapter for reading information, converters are designed to read information, to accumulate pulse signals (for example, from water and electricity meters) and transmit them via serial interfaces RS-232C and RS-485 to the upper-level program.

The TEM port provides:
- Serial port conversion (RS-485) – Ethernet/Fast Ethernet;
- automatic selection of 10/100BASE-T protocols (Ethernet/Fast Ethernet version 2.0/IEEE 802.3);
- support for network protocols ARP, UDP/IP, TCP/IP, Telnet, ICMP, SNMP, DHCP, BOOTP, TFTP, Auto IP, HTTP.
- The maximum length of the communication line when transmitting data via the RS-485 interface is 1200 meters.
- The maximum length of the communication line when transmitting data without retransmission via the Ethernet/FastEthernet interface is 100 meters.
- Power is supplied from the AC mains with a voltage from 196 to 253 V, frequency (50 ± 1) Hz.
- Power consumption is not more than 2VA.
- Weight does not exceed 0.5 kg.

The KS-16 signal converter provides:
- receiving signals from water meters (electric meters) with a pulse output implemented as a contact sensor (reed switch) or as a contactless sensor (for example, a transistor cascade of the "dry contact" type);
- receiving signals from limit switches ("limit switches");
- accumulation and storage of current data in non-volatile memory (the number of accumulated pulses for each input, the status of lines and limit switches);
- storing in non-volatile memory reference information for each meter (apartment, house, etc.);
- analysis of the state of communication lines (line breaks and short circuits are monitored).
